Why your support matters
Special Olympics Auckland gives athletes with intellectual disabilities year-round training, competition and a team to belong to. Participation is low cost for athletes and their families, so we rely on donations to cover what it takes to keep things running.
What it costs to keep athletes in the game
Venues: pool lanes, courts, fields and halls for weekly training
Equipment: balls, bowls, swim gear, first aid kits and everything in between
Uniforms: so athletes compete proudly as one team
Travel: getting athletes to regional and national competitions, including accommodation and flights for National & World Games
Coaching and volunteers: training, police vetting and support for the people who make it happen
Events: competition entry fees, prizegiving and celebrations
Help our athletes train, compete and belong
Every dollar you give helps keep sport accessible for people with intellectual disabilities across Auckland.
